Position: Welder (Salary Ranges From $22.28 - $27.14 per hour)
Reports to: Production Supervison
Company: Monarch Industries is a privately owned company that was founded in 1935. Monarch is a vertically integrated manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders and custom iron castings. These products are marketed throughout North America into the retail, agricultural, industrial and original equipment manufacturer markets. Employing over 425 people, Monarch’s corporate office is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba with a foundry in Winkler, Manitoba and a distribution center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Weld hydraulic cylinder tube, rods, and components using manual and automatic welding processes.
- Maintain required productivity levels (efficiency & utilization).
- Produce required quality of work.
- Contribute to continuous improvement on a daily basis.
- Ability to work as a part of a 24 hour operation that rotates shifts on a 4 week schedule.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Adheres to all Safety and Health standards.
Education and Experience Required: ·
- Welding certificate from a recognized post secondary or trade school.
- Capable of being CWB Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year experience on MIG (Gas Metal Arc, Flux Core Arc, Shielded Metal Arc).
- Additional welding experience an asset.
- Hydraulic component welding background preferable.
